“When I came to see Jenny, she was my last hope. I was sceptical. However, after three months, I was cured of my debilitating shoulder pain. I had my life back. I am forever indebted to her wonderful work.” Julie Kessel.
Jenny has been using the Alexander Technique to help people reduce pain and improve performance since 1996. She works with individuals in the Melbourne suburbs of Windsor/Prahran and Richmond, and also runs workshops for schools, corporations and performers throughout Melbourne.
Private students often come to Jenny with pain which other treatments have not been able to resolve. Back, neck, hip, and shoulder pain, and voice loss are some of the conditions which Jenny’s students find the Alexander Technique helpful for.
Musicians and actors have lessons with Jenny to improve their performance. Performers are attracted by Jenny’s ability to apply the Alexander Technique principles to performance and her experience teaching students at the Victorian College of the Arts.
Prior to training as an Alexander Technique Teacher, Jenny was a professional opera singer, and studied the clarinet at a tertiary level.
Jenny has been a teaching member of the Australian Alexander Technique professional association (AUSTAT) for over 25 years. She is also the Assistant Director of the School for F.M. Alexander Studies (in Richmond, Melbourne), where students undertake a three year, full-time course in order to become qualified Alexander Technique teachers.
